UPDATE #5: This is a sneak peek of District, they are opening for our group only this Friday! Drink specials will be $4 Coronas, $5 "20s & 30s Superstar" drinks, and $6 house wine... until 8pm.

UPDATE #3: The Little Black Dress Club and AsiaRoom.Com will also be joining us!

UPDATE #2: The Happy Hour group and the German Language group will also be joining us!

Okay, time to get together for our next happy hour!

Our happy hour will benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation... http://www.avoncompan... ... an organization that raises funds and awareness for advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer... suggested $5 or $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation and 20% of donations will go to the 20s & 30s Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses. Other groups that will be joining us:

Kick-A$$ Professionals
Indians Socializing Over Drinks and Sports
Washington DC German Language Group
DC/VA/MD Happy Hour
Little Black Dress Club
AsiaRoom.com
Washington's Biggest Givers
Reston Town Center Singles

DJ Saam will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.

District is a brand new club located at what was previously known as Chloe. With a revamped interior, District mixes horizontal wooden slats with soft lighting, exposed brick, and brightly lit translucent panels, including an elevated platform that houses the DJ booth.

To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this, for an icebreaker, we'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar. Also, 20s & 30s Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!

Closest Metro is Woodley Park - Zoo/Adams Morgan (Red Line), ~15 minute walk. I suggest Metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata for travel plans.

Seen the complaints about being too loud. Clubs supposed to be loud right? Or is this much louder than usual? I never found clubs to be the best place to converse with people.
