UPDATE #3: If you are unable to secure a spot on the boat, you have the option of "flying standby." There were 10 no-shows for our last boat cruise, so you just *might* be able to get on board. Make sure to come early with exact cash. Also...
Remember to TIP YOUR BARTENDERS! We have recruited 2 phenomenal bartenders to help us, who could be working elsewhere tonight, so please make sure you show your appreciation!
UPDATE #2: Please plan on arriving at the marina by 8:30 pm. The boat will pull out of the dock at 9:00 pm SHARP and will not come back for you! People have been left before so please plan accordingly. Again, dress code is formal/business attire. It's a cocktail party so look good!
UPDATE #1: This is a reminder the early bird special will end THIS Friday, Oct 2nd. To be fair to those who want to join in and are ready to make payment, I'll be unrsvp'ing those that haven't paid by Monday, Sept 28th. So make payment to *truly* lock in your spot... and for any new rsvp's, please make payment immediately.

We're doing it again!! Ladies put on your best dress, gentleman break out the nice threads. I've reserved a fancy double decker vessel for us, and made special arrangements with a captain and crew to take us down the Potomac for a 3 hour cruise / cocktail party! Not only that:
* We get OPEN BAR... to include wine, mixed drinks, and beer
* We get appetizer food... such as shrimp cocktail, meats and cheese, sandwich wraps, etc.
* We get our own DJ spinning lively beats to get us dancing
* We get a great view of Washington DC's skyline as we cruise down the Potomac
YES... being on the water, open bar, food, warm weather, fancy clothes, music, new and old faces, dancing... can it get any better?
We did this earlier this summer, and it was a blast. And just like before, cocktail attire will be required... so come and look gooood!
We've got an early bird special for this event. From now until Oct 2nd, the ticket price is only $45. After that it will go up to $55. Secure your slot by rsvp'ing yes AND making payment!
So come join us, tell your friends, and let's have a great night cruising down the Potomac, and seeing you all "dressed to impress!" =)

We will be leaving out of Old Town Alexandria. There is a marina there by the Torpedo Factory. The closest metro stop is King Street Metro (blue line). There is a free trolley that will pick you up from the metro and take you to the marina at the end of King St. We suggest using www.wmata.com for metro travel. The boat will leave PROMPTLY at 9pm and return at midnight. So please arrive by 8:30pm so we don't leave without you!

Since we've paid in advance for this charter, and since there are limited seats, all sales are final. Hopefully you understand we can't have people cancelling and requesting a refund, when that spot could have been filled by others. Thanks for understanding. =)

First event ever..Well done..Good Times!
Shame I have only done boat cruise two times in my life, and I always love boat cruises. Or, anything to do with river, ocean, boats, as well as fishing :) I could spend all day on the waters. It was too short, but very fun! :D This definitely should be done often, am I right? Yeah, it was awesome to chill out with you guys last night.
Thanks again for coming out everyone! Pictures will be uploaded soon. Please feel free to upload any you took.
Jared/JT,
Will the trolley be running when the boat cruise is over ?
Dolci & Nakul,
Just seen that u guys r meeting at the King street station at 8pm. I'll try to be there around that time as well so don't be alarmed if some chick comes up to u guys, it'll be me. Hehe! See ya then =)
Hi Dolci & Nakul and whoever else I might have missed (sorry) I will be riding the blue line from franconia/springfield to king st. Can I meet u guys at the king street station and we ride the trolly together? Not sure how to send private messages. Hope to hear from one of u soon! =)
Leaving from Harbour East in Baltimore. Anybody needs a ride? No? Yes? Send me a private message/email and I'll be happy to provide transportation!
Jordan,
I plan to leave a little earlier by the 6:45ish metro. If would like to join me, do let me know.
Anybody else in the group wanna ride with ?
I will ask one LAST time anyone coming from Richmond, or further from Richmond want to carpool together?? Please get with me as soon as possible (ASAP)! I will be checking my email all day until 5PM.
Hi, this is our first time attending, but we plan on riding the metro from the shady grove station. We live very close to Shady grove, so our plan was to leave on the 7 or 7:15 train.
Nakul - Yeah, let's meet at 8 at the King Street Trolley sign that Jared&J.T mentioned. If you know how to send private messages, send me one so I can give you my cell. :]
Thanks Jared & J.T. !
Dolci - It's located across from the metro, just walk to the bus stop. There will be a sign for the King Street Trolley. It looks like a trolley. I believe it runs every 15 min.
Anyone else riding the metro to King Street want to meet up and ride the trolley together?
Jared & J.T. - Can you tell us more about the free trolley that will take us to the marina? What does it look like, where is it located, and what time will it be there? I'm definitely riding the metro. :] Thanks!
Cool! Thanks!
Jennifer - There is a parking garage on North Union St. across from the Torpedo Factory. I believe it is $10. We are sold out right but we always have no-shows so it's possible your friend may be able to buy a ticket and get on.
I've got 3 questions. Is there ample parking at the marina if we decide to drive? Do u have to pay to park? and if I have a guest who'd like to come will she have to be waitlisted ? =)
Kathlin - It is a long walk from the metro. There is a free trolley that will take you to the marina at the end of King St. Or I suggest getting a cab from the metro. See you there!
Jared
Are most people planning to walk from the metro or drive?
